As a mum, sometimes it’s hard to tell if a child’s behaviour is age-appropriate or outside the normal range. Honestly, there are SO many things can impact a child’s behaviour – from life stressors, trouble with friends at school, food intolerances, tummy trouble, sleep issues to learning challenges and health conditions – as parents we often feel like we are chasing our tail trying to work out what is going on.
Should I change their diet?
Should I change my parenting style?
Is it actually normal and nothing to worry about?
Hi, I’m Keonie Moore, experienced naturopath and founding director of ReMed Natural Medicine Clinic. As a mum of 4 kids, I have been there. And as an experienced paediatric naturopath, I have dedicated the past 16 years helping families work out what is impacting their kids’ behaviour and simple ways they can improve it.
The lack of awareness of what impacts these behaviours often mean that parents find it hard to access support and professional assistance, often turning to parent’s support groups and online research. But relying on Google how to work out how to best help your child comes rife with potential problems. Is the source of information reliable? Most treatments, even natural, can cause side effects or problems if used incorrectly. Natural medicines are not inherently safe and need to be used at the correct doses for age and weight.
Even if something worked for someone else, will it necessarily work for your child?
No two cases are the same.
I’ve personally seen that there is no one size fits all approach to treatment. The underlying drivers of for each child vary greatly and therefore the best way to help them also varies.
Join me and other parents who share the same concerns for my 60 minute What Is Impacting my Child’s Behaviour online event for parents where I’ll be addressing what causes these symptoms and how to best help your child.
